One measure of the camp’s success has been the growing enthusiasm of local families, some of sharply limited means. Another is the recurring loyalty of financial donors, both in Mexico and abroad. For our bare-bones budget — less than $6,000 annually — we are entirely dependent on your continued generosity.

Get involved
The Campamento idea was brought to Patzcuaro by a group of socially engaged artists, La Bufon S.O.S.ial, led by Nano Lara, whose creative specialty builds on the communicative power of clowning, especially in work with children. His associates, from across Mexico and overseas, have included puppeteers, muralists, painters, sculptors, musicians, actors and videographers. Help from local volunteers able to join in administering the camp is deeply appreciated.
